Does Cold Weather Damage Leather

Literature in the intestine

In 1949, Gracq journal publishes his pamphlet Literature in the stomach.
What annoyed Gracq in literary circles, as one of the criticisms of some writers is the noise : no one, mainly generated by the work itself, but the message accompanying its release. Background noise, noise corridors, rumors, it seems that p éremptoires at very short expiration date. Unquenchable need for novelty.

course, nothing has changed since.
Each book read is immediately appreciated, not for himself (who still read books " for themselves," if children and adolescents?) But the rest, the vast remainder. As we judge the quality of Beaujolais Nouveau , by finding " a taste of something else .

For the author who publishes, he knows that to be appreciated, he will be compared, similar - though not certain the comparison is in his favor. What is not comparable, which has no equal, is most often dismissed: bitter potion that recalls nothing known.

In this game of comparison, of reminiscence, the author is often lost. His identity is being diluted in the likeness . What he strives to make unique certainly resembles something or someone, who was born earlier, would have written before, and better. Too late, your quick does it mean, the place is taken.
I've probably been lucky: my books have too often suffered from being compared. But when it happened, that their always hurt. When
Point Side appeared, for example, I learned with horror that I had seized (sic) of hackneyed themes, treated much earlier and much better by Theo Van Lishoud in Brothers. I who had never read, I was heartbroken as a crime in a dream. Not
sought me seize of anything, I just wanted to tell a story without worrying at all whether it was original (I'm assuming that it n ' there is no original story , while having been told since ancient times). Now that
How (well) missed his vacation was published, I read on a blog (probably played by a woman, as 99% of reading blogs) I would have done under the Martin Page, and that in humor, I can not hold a candle to the one I have no doubt tried to copy, namely Stéphane Daniel in the series of adventures Gaspar Corbin.
Again, I plead not guilty, never having read it, not even knowing it exists!
But, you say, the comparison may be flattering. Certainly. Except for a proud (whose motto might be that the great Jean-Jacques my master: "If I not better, at least I am different "), they are rarely happy.
But the worst is not here.
The worst is being accused of both quasi-plagiarism, and failure. Leaves to imitate, as well do it well, is not it? Now I, I miss me. Not only am I a copious, and besides, I meat! Shame, what. For example, to How (well) missed his vacation , well, it's less fun . Ah. The jokes do not fly every time, it seems. Flute then! It even seems that there is too much emotion, too much pathos . Ha, that's it. of melodrama, even?
Really? But that lady, well then, I must tell you: it's my thing to me, the melodrama! Pathos. I fiber pathetic. When I write, the two key accessory on my desk are a pair of speakers and a packet of tissues.

I make literature on instinct, without reading buddies.
Like all writers I do it by feel and I have not taken a course contrary to what some readers think I does not recipes.
I do not cheat. If I wallow is alone, not because I copied. In my life I have never cheated, even in school yet, in some subjects I had many reasons to do it!
I make literature bowel , writing rot-gut, trying to produce and maintain areas of discomfort, discomfort, doubts.

But as said Gracq, it is now very difficult for the author to make its voice heard amidst the noise is believed he tried to foster.

Happily ever after

The snow, fell in abundance last weekend in Burgundy (and to a lesser extent, Paris) has not prevented trains from running (well, not my trains ...)
I was able to go to Montreuil, where I measured the impact of advertising on sales books ...
Indeed, How (well) missed his vacation had been selected by the SLPJ Jukebox teens (see here and here ). The clip dedicated to my artwork and reading excerpts of the novel, supported by those of a comedian who read excerpts of the 6 selected novels, generated on Saturday morning a small influx of parents, grandparents, children and even (yes, yes) of real teens (you read that right) !

With immediate result of a signing frenzy (well. .. we hear when, in Montreuil, a normal author - off bestsellers - "sign" more than 10 books people he does not know, it opens the champagne on the stand) ...
I am advised today that Maxim has a box all weekend (advertise, advertise, I tell you!) what I am still very pleased to and it allows me to announce today its ... BACK!
Yes, Max is back ! When? I do not know (I have another novel on the fire) but it will be soon, he jumps up already!

Campbell Cheddar Cheese Soup Recipes

Alert Weather France promises 30 cm snow by tonight. The cows are knowledgeable, they are lining up to go to the barn.
As for me, as much less they sighted, I'm about to reach Paris in a few days, which opens tomorrow Book Fair and Youth Press Montreuil. If the trains are, of course. Otherwise, I'll stay like this, stranded behind a barbed ... watching the passing train.

Orange Alert "Just smile would make us happy"

Happiness ghost received Thursday 18 November the Jean Monnet Prize for Young Europeans . This award me was presented at the 2010 European Literature Cognac .
On this occasion, a delegation of students (including those of the Lycée Emile Combes Pons) read on stage a compliment drafted by them, to report on their reading of each novel, and honor their way to the three authors present (as I recall that Phantom Happiness was measured by a powerful opponent: Nicolas Ancion for Dollar Man 35 billion , Carl Frode Tiller for Encirclement ). Here
the compliment Lucia and Cheyenne have read to the public (trembling a little), I listened (with trembling a bit too) and that the librarian of the Lyceum Emile Combes was kind enough to send me (without shaking).
is a wonderful text, written by young people between 16 and 17, who demonstrated sensitivity and philosophical reflection that would not have denied Alain (philosopher) - which would have pleased in turn, Simone Weil, in his student khâgne - but I digress.
Here:

In your novel "Happy Phantom" we discovered a writing at once poetic, subtle and discreet. Indeed, how you transform the mundane things of everyday life in strong emotions, even extraordinary, makes us an ideal time reading: for example, from the first page, we discover the rain under a poetic aspect. The subtlety of writing is also evident in phrases like "in art as in love, we must have the courage of his feelings. No one is bound to love it right "or when you say" ... leave, not to die a little. Leaving is live. "
The way you live characters, including Peter allows us to identify them. Peter tries to talk himself into flashbacks her love life, family and society. By mere innuendo, you come to us to understand major episodes of his life, as the loss of his brother, his twin brother that caused him to be a perpetual malaise hence the title "Happy Phantom" because for Pierre happiness is invisible until he realizes that he is under her eyes.
Another point that we find fascinating is the imperceptible evolution of the character as we move forward with him throughout the book, as in a journey, a voyage of exotic, emotional, yet realistic, without idealization, which gives us the impression of being there, and feel the contrast between urban and rural life.
Your novel is not a simple story, but also an opening to life, an awareness of and reflection on art and culture. Indeed, after having abandoned a thesis on the philosopher Simone Weil, Pierre is dedicated to writing the biography of French painter Rosa Bonheur painting symbol of simple happiness, and figure of feminism in the 19th century, as George Sand.
should not be constantly in search of happiness because the simple fact of life should make us happy. The end of your novel is not a "happy ending", but rather a subtle note of hope. Times change, we are changing and take us to a life they never imagined.
Through this story, we retain as essential message that happiness is often in front of us and that we simply open our eyes to see. The mere smile would make us happy.
For all these reasons, we award the prize for European literature Jean Monnet Percin to Anne for her book "Happy Phantom", a novel that happens to mingle love and tragedy.

Ways I Can Suck My Own Dick

Marne-la-Vallee Station certified

was marked on the docks: station certified. Certified by whom or by what, I do not know. It was not yet eight o'clock and the Parisians of the week crossed the English visiting EuroDisney and Lille in transit. The station was yellow, or it was my camera that shit on the white balance.
In the glass hall, the bread smelled chocolate, cold.
The store was selling trinkets Eiffel Towers in snow globes (to give Maxime?) And Tigger Plush (for Melissa?).

the radius of English magazines, they sold the magazine Attitude with Stephen Fry on the cover, I thought that was a good sign, we start the day. Stephen Fry makes me feel good. Right now it's my time Fry.

arrival at Angouleme he was fine, the station was red, or it is I who dropped the ball on the color scale.

A man (who looked a bit like Stephen Fry) waiting on the platform the authors invited to the Festival and who came that morning, to infinity and beyond, ie, Belgium say. He was not expecting me, me, which did not stop me getting into his taxi with a bunch of great Belgians who have transformed the way towards hypnotic Cognac (I got up at 5 am, anyway. ..) by mad epic.
The Ibis was a chaos. In the lobby (we say how French, already?) workers demolished to ground the counter and tore the ceiling plates, while the receptionist, very professional, tended to the barge punched cards and answered in all languages.
I was hungry and no time to eat in 14 hours on the dot, a horde of Poitou-Charentes students take possession of the Auditorium to listen to us, Carl Frode Tiller , Nicolas Ancion and myself, answer questions, cross Gerard Meudal , journalist World, and the cheering crowd.
I asked for orange juice. I got on the scene.
When I closed my eyes, it was yellow .

Incest Happens In Real

A Maxime who wishes you well

Tomorrow Maximus is out.

Who is Maxime?

a lunch of South Paris 17,
on Spacebook ® best known under the name of Professor Moriarty . Even
not major and already full of arrogance, irony and fill ... (Yes my dear Lucette, there's more youth.)
A professional who lose, and when he grows a little less blundering, Jimmy Hendrix will or Thomas Legrand ( political columnist on France Inter ), because his two favorite weapons to understand and face the world are the rock and the economy. To each his own.
And hers are arrested ...
He likes extreme culinary experiences, jazz but not the java, alcohol but not tobacco, but England not the U.S., the obsolete thrillers and movies well gore.
And all the rest, well ... he hates.

He has long hair full of knots, a rotten old bike, zero girl and only three friends, the most faithful is his grandmother. More
misanthropic as the hero of Molière, his credo is not Family I hate you ( that's Andre Gide ) but rather O Wide World and you big pile of calves, Futa me peace.

You do not know yet but you already love. Admit it ...
